Patient Gives Donations in lieu of Wedding Gift to Woodlands
Andrea Tilston and Eimear Donnelly got married at LiverpoolFootball Club on 10th November and instead of gifts the happy couple asked guests and well-wishers to donate to their chosen charities of Woodlands Hospice and Macmillan.
Andrea’s sister Lindsay set up an online just giving page to help collect the donations. Lindsay said: “My sister is terminally ill and is accessing the services at Woodlands and hopes to end her days there when the time comes. Andrea and her partner decided to get married and set the date whilst she is well enough. The Hospice is amazing and gives invaluable support to many hundreds of families across the region and we are chuffed we have raised nearly £400 for Woodlands”.
Eimear is Infection Control Nurse at Aintree Hospital. The happy couple have kindly shared the photos from their wedding including Eimear's family who all came over from Northern Ireland for the wedding.
