St Hilda’s ‘The Big One - Liverpool to Blackpool 115K Relay’ Challenge
St Hilda’s High School have chosen Woodlands Hospice to be the beneficiary for their annual mammoth relay challenge, which is set to be the biggest one yet!
On Saturday 3rd May 2025, a 70 strong team of teachers from the school will be running from Liverpool to the Big One in Blackpool and will be supported by Woodlands Hospice Partnerships Team who will take part in the relay. The relay challenge is the fifth in its succession and was born from a personal experience of Gayle Gilbert who teaches at St Hilda’s.
Such a high profile and successful fundraising initiative had been noted by Woodlands Hospice hence the Hospice team were absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the 2025 beneficiary motivating the Partnerships Team to run alongside St Hilda’s for the relay challenge. The timing of this wonderful fundraising adoption could not have come at a better time with Hospice Care and funding being so desperately needed across the City of Liverpool.
The challenge wheels have been truly set in motion with the kind and generous support of two sponsorship partners these being Kaman Rasul of The Dental Clinic, Chapel Street Liverpool and Wild Thang Ltd, Derby Road Liverpool. We are extremely grateful to both sponsors for their valuable contribution to the St Hilda’s Team Relay Challenge in aid of Woodlands Hospice along with St Hilda’s for having chosen us.
Full details and background of the challenge history can be found in the Liverpool echo article, so please do take the time to read and ‘pay it forward’.
We are urging our supporters to please share across your networks to support St Hilda’s and Woodlands Hospice Partnerships Team. Thank you!
