What is involved in a Public Collection
Our collection volunteers are in pairs and are allocated a two-hour shift which involves taking cash donations from the public in our collection buckets or tap machine. Our collections may be at a supermarket or outdoors supporting choirs or performers at local events.
Our collection volunteers find it so rewarding when we let them know how much each collection raised as they can see how a little bit of their time helped their local hospice in such a big way.
If your a supermarket community champion or work in a garden centre, theatre or venue with lots of foot fall please get in touch with our Community Partnerships Manager Wendy Williamson:

On these days we often set up a small table to raise awareness of our cause and the services we provide to give the day a real community feel.
